living the high life

i had a fun night... not the usual kinda fun, but more of the high culture kinda fun. becky invited me to go with her to watch The Sound of Music musical! with complimentary tix from malaysian airlines. woooo... let's start with the reception... wine, yummy food, nicely dressed people. me and becks felt underdressed and tried to blend in. haha

the musical was pretty good. but the movie was better. the little kids were so cuuuuute!!!!! i particularly liked the youngest one. gretl. she's only 5 years old... awwwwww so cute. and she's a real baby. cutieeeee.

did u know that it's based on a real story, and in real life, the captain was 47 when he married maria, who was 22? omg.. there is a 25 year age gap between the 2 of them. but then most people will think it's ok.. and pretty romantic, the idea of the master falling for the governess. but i wonder why society is not as open if the guy is younger and the woman is older. i think nowadays, people are more accepting of younger guy-older woman kinda relationships, but still not too drastic age differences. like that old taiwan woman who was dating an 18 year old BOY. actually i myself think it's pretty gross. but well, guess we shouldn't judge. maybe that's real love. *arches an eyebrow*

today is friday. today is a good day. payday, and tomorrow is saturday. how much better can life get... friday is a happy day.
