3rd full Chinese lunch in 1 week

Last Friday, we got a treat from one of our french consultants Marie cos she was leaving for good... we went to lao beijing at Plaza Singapura.... wow the food was really really good!

We actually wanted to take photos of every dish to show my boss (he was on MC... poor guy... he always seems to miss out on the treats), but the food was too good, we kinda forgot. hehe. anyway we have 2 dishes...


Sharksfin Soup... it's really good... pieces of sharksfin in chicken broth... slurp. I love sharksfin soup, but it's really wasteful and not environmentally friendly to chop off sharks fins and throw the rest of the body back. I've decided that at my wedding there won't be sharksfin. but since it's already there... i might as well eat it. haha.

Actually this is just glorified kong ba pao. but the special thing about it is that they cut the meat with one stroke of the knife (hence the name) and then they somehow stacked it into a pyramid. it's really pretty. but taste wise... nothing special... the buns were hard.
