bombay dreams... bollywood fever!

my table theme for my company D&D is Bombay Dreams. Taken from the musical of the same name... so i'm gonna dress up! Sarees, gaudy earrings and lotsa bangles.

Today, me and andrew went down to little india to check out the stuff... yay... i got my acessories... i still need to get that blouse thingy inside the saree cos i'm too fat for my old one... haha.

my million bangles. I LOVE bangles. i figure i will wear bangles again... so i bought 4 sets. andrew had to drag me away from all those bangle shops.... hmmm i wanna buy more....

neva mind. other chances to buy more when i go down with evelyn next week. wheeeeee!

A Hectic Weekend

Yesterday, Me and evelyn went to set up stall at Tanglin Mall Flea Market! Our main point was to try and sell our jewellery. We laid out a mat, and since this was a flea market, we brought along old stuff to sell as well! I brought mostly clothes that i grew out of (i.e. too fat to wear them now). anyway it's really tiring but really really fun! we didn't sell much jewellery cos i think it was overpriced for the location. however, the old stuff seemed to go really fast. i think i made about $100 on clothes alone!!! it's a good experience.

OH and we had a cute guy sighting as well! we saw this one young boy who was chinese american... cuteeee... and this realy realy cute indian guy. *swoon* he complimented us on our jewellery and we gave him our email address cos he was interested in some of our jewellery! hehe... maybe he'll email us... haha.

SO many of our friends came down to support us... so nice of them. Vonnie came down to help us man the stall, Berinda bought us tiramisu even!

OH and even tho everything was so dirt cheap already, some people still tried to bargain. real cheapo-na-nas at the end of the nite, i was trying to get rid of all the clothes, and priced everything at 1 dollar. these maids would try to get the stuff at 50 cents! i would rather take it home to be a rag than sell it for 50 cents. then you have the other end of the spectrum, who are really nice. there's this one lady who picked out 3 items and i told her $15 for everything. she said okay, and i must have looked shocked, cos she continued saying "I don't really bargain, cos i understand what it is like to have to part with your clothes." so nice right?

So tired after we closed... it was hot stuffy and noisy. had a bad headache... but it was so fun. i'd do it over again. Me and Eve wanna try Timberlux centre.

K anyway. today was Jane's wedding. woke up to cut hair... rushed to the wedding.
