Yesterday, I went to send Kenny off, and I saw little Daniel. Daniel has the cutest baby cheeks and big eyes. And he speaks with the cutest american accent. awwwww... so adorable...

When he went, "can I take a photo with you?" My heart melted... I want a little boy just like him!

my dream

Last night I had a dream about Santa Cruz. I have no idea why I thought it was Santa Cruz, but I just did. Anyway, I dreamt that I went back to visit, and this time, my brother and my sister was with me. I brought them around. Well, this is kind of a no punch line story, cos there's really no point to it. Haha.

I think I was dreaming cos I slept SO MUCH yesterday. I slept from 3am-1.15pm on saturday afternoon, then went to my uncle's house, where I got a massage from a 5 year old girl, and then went home, slacked around for a while, and then went to sleep at 11pm, til the next day at 9am... waaaah... super shiok... that adds up to 20 hours in 2 days! happiness. I haven't slept so much in a LONG time...

Kenny's leaving tomorrow... i hope i can send him off at the airport! I wanna see his little brother... he's so cuuuuuute! the little brother i mean... hehe.

oh well... let's post a pic of me and jaime about 2 weeks ago. One of my project teams at work organised this bowling competition for my division, and Jaime was kinda forced to take part. hehe...

We had dinner at this place called Waraku at Cuppage. the food is OK... not fantastic... but OK... :)

had a great lunch. Lunch was at Hong Lim Complex. i LOVE that place to bits. So rare to find such GOOD food for such CHEAP prices.

I had Hongkong Steamed Pork Rib rice. very very yummy.

wanted to ta bao teh back to office, but no time. the teh at Hong Lim is a class of it's own. it's really thick, rich, and sweet. even the Teh Ping is fab. usually teh ping is a little diluted cos of the ice, but this one... is just as thick and rich...

oh man... how can i go on diet with food like this in singapore... sigh...

After Lunch Blues

omg... so sleepy now. had a BIG lunch... ate at Carl's Jr wif Kenny. It's really Quality fastfood. like 10 times better than Macdonalds. I had the Charbroiled chicken club - this is nicely grilled chicken breast, with crisp lettuce, tomatoes, bacon in between some brown bread. It's really really good. In place of regular fries, i got the zuchinni fries... this is well... interesting. tastes kinda sweet and herby.

It's franchised in singapore by Kenny's uncle too! I thought we'd get free meals, but apparently not. oh well... $3 off is not too bad too! They have american iced tea too, which is just plain iced tea, without any sugar, (like tea-o-kosong ping) and you add your own sugar and/or lemons. Free flow of drinks... for all you cheapskates out there, you can get a drink and sit there the whole day!

Kenny's only gripe was that they didn't provide ranch sauce. Ranch is like this salad dressing thingy that's kinda sour, and apparently goes with everything according to Kenny. Actually I don't like it much, so it's no loss to me!

Another thing was, Kenny was saying that he doesn't understand why Carl's Jr is so expensive in Singapore! Like so much more expensive than Macdonalds. Cos in the US, it costs the same price as Macdonalds meals, but better quality. It's weird though. I thought that maybe it's because it's a novelty. So they price it higher at first. But maybe after a while, when it's no longer special, the price will drop... maybe hor... we can always hope. It's stupid. Like how Topshop and Forever 21 are both considered really cheap fashion in the UK and USA respectively (like This Fashion standard), but in Singapore, they're considered higher-priced fashion/street wear.

back to work now... or non-work. more reading for the rest of the day. eyelids drooping......................................

long time no blog

yeah... no mood to blog these days... too busy! haha... it was a busy weekend. i went shopping!!! omg... I felt like I haven't really shopped in a long time... on saturday, I bought 6 tops. real shopping... finally. maybe I'll post pics when i get home.

I'm working hard beading everyday so that I can start my business! Me and evelyn are gonna be partners to sell our beaded jewellery. Our 1st stall is at... TANGLIN MALL flea market on 17th September.

I know it doesnt't sound like much, but I guess we just wanna do it and try whether we can make something of it! And there's such a satisfaction when people actually buy our stuff. i'm making earrings, and eve is making bracelets and such.

The name of our business will be Be-dazzled, cos, B=Bettina, and E=Evelyn. and Bedazzled is a nice name for jewellery rite?

This is gonna be our logo, and the card on which i'm gonna put the earrings.


I'll eventually design the rest of the stuff like tags and stuff for the bracelets and necklaces.

Looking for other ways to sell our stuff too... like other flea markets, consignment and maybe online. But there's really tough competition... really, we're not trying to strike it big by doing this. we just want to pursue a common interest. so there.

oh yeah... the the grand opening for riverlife church was held on saturday. and i had an invite... No photos cos my camera had no batteries. bleargh.

woohoo... it was really nice though, 2 highlights (in between the boring speeches), the *FUNKY* samba-percussion band, and the *BEAUTIFUL* megalife dance (to the so song Journey by Corrine May). sigh... so pretty... emotional during the last dance.

i spent the whole morning creating a powerpoint slideshow of pictures for one of the events that my company organises. how boliao it is... haha

anyway... sonny has a son! haha i just had to write it that way... he's such a nice guy, really loves his wife and kids. and he's really animated and funny too! working in the same office as him is so entertaining.

started to read, HARRY POTTER... oh i love harry potter... the book is really such an interesting read... i couldn't put it down on the MRT this morning, and nearly missed my stop! it's so silly... cos i heard the voice announcement "Raffles Place" (my stop)-my eyes were still glued to the book- and i sensed EVERYONE getting off around me. but i continued reading... until 10 seconds later, it finally registered that oh raffles place IS my stop and i'm supposed to get off.

yup nerd alert... i love to read. since i was young. i'd read everywhere... in bed, in the toilet, in school during lessons, while eating...

Harry Potter IS really well written. it's just like reading enid blyton. LOVE IT!

can't wait for work to end so that i can get back to reading it. wahahahahaha

Beppu Ramen

i had ramen today. freaking spicy ramen.

it was a treat by one of my colleagues cos she's leaving the bank... BOO HOO HOO... she's really sweet... i will miss her.

anyway, back to the ramen.

i decided to be adventurous/daring/STUPID and tried the 2nd highest level of spiciness... 6 chillis.

believe me... it's really spicy. like 2hrs-later-lao sai kind of spicy. don't ask me how i know... i won't tell. but it's really good.

my colleagues said that my face was all red. but i survived. :)

i'm taking my sis there... i bet even she-the chilli queen- can't conquer the 8 chilli ramen!

breastfeeding in public

i heard this debate on radio the other day... and was thinking about it. some people were saying that it's disgusting and others said that it's perfectly fine! well... my take on it is... let's all have social etiquette. i went for a business etiquette class, and the instructor gave a very nice definition of etiquette. etiquette according to her is not making the people around you feel uncomfortable in any circumstance. so if a person has good etiquette, you will not make anyone around you feel uncomfortable.

it really doesn't matter if you wanna breastfeed in public. by all means do so! i'm all for women's lib, and mother's rights. i think mothers are beautiful. breastfeeding is natural. i think children's rooms and child feeding areas should not be in the women's toilets, BUT let's have social etiquette. don't make people around you feel uncomfortable...

seriously, who wants to see your breasts hanging out in public? it's just not nice! doing discretely is ok too... cover it up.

i think i'll be nice when i eventually have a kid...

evaluation of where i could have lost my IC

seriously... i'm thinking really really hard about where i could have lost my IC. it's really impossible for me to have left it anywhere. but isn't it always like that for things that are lost...

ok anyway... i just need to do this in order to be happy. ok. here goes.

1st time i took out my IC was at dblO. we needed to show some ID in order to get in. after which i put in back into the little zipped up compartment and zipped it up. i didn't have to take it out in then club, nor did i have to take out any cash.

2nd time i took out my IC was at zouk. they always check ID there. so presumably i took out my IC there. i say presumably cos i already had quite a lot of drinks before getting there. after which i put my IC back, and zipped it up. i even put jessica's wallet in there and asked her to check for her wallet.

after that, i did not touch my IC anymore. the next time i opened up my bag to take something out was outside zouk, where we took some photos. then we went to the ba kut teh place and there i took out some cash to pay for the ba kut teh.

Then we took a cab home, and i unzipped my bag to take out cash to pay the driver.

then the most marvelous thing is, i forgot to bring my cards to work the next day... so i asked my sister to check that all my stuff was still in the bag. everything was there except for my IC.

now where do you think i dropped my IC? those were the only times i took out my IC... the most probable thing is that i probably dropped it in the cab while taking out my cash. i hope the cab driver finds it and returns it to me. it's gonna be 300 freakin bucks to replace my IC this time...

the best part is that i have no idea at all where i lost it. i can't believe i lost my IC actually... really. sigh.

we went clubbing last wed...took advantage of ladies nite and went to dblO and zouk. dblO for the free drinks (yummy) and zouk for the music.

only stayed in zouk for a while... too freaking crowded in there... i bumped into a waiter carrying drinks... he spilled a whole bunch of shots... some on me too. sigh.... anyway i got this feeling that i'm way too old for that kind of thing now... i was really tired by 2am... haha....

NOTHING else was gone. except my IC. i can't believe i lost it... it's gonna be 300 bucks this time.... PLEASE... please return me my IC.... sigh....

no more clubbing for me..... i'm swearing off.
