what a...

... busy week. barely had time to breathe!

the busy week was followed by an equally busy weekend. starting from the super long lunch treat at lao beijing (YUMMY!!!), the fire drill (where i had to walk down 40 freaking floors), GBB Chill Out Nite (which i was helping to plan for), women's conference in church, and Vonnie's birthday.

that's the ENTIRE weekend gone. anyway... there's tons of photos... just don't have time to post them up now... i need to catch up on some much needed sleep. tomorrow... pics will come.

I want my own baby.... hmmm not really... i want a baby like a want a pet... something to love and cuddle... but without the tiredness and stress. but that't not the right thing to say huh... guess i can't have it like that.

my good deed of the day

today... I did a good deed. Or rather, i helped someone else do a good deed. haha.

I was in the MRT this morning, and as usal the train was super duper packed. Have i mentioned how much I hate rush hour crowds.... okay. Anyway, there was this realllllly OLD lady who got on, and was standing near the door.

I didn't have a seat, so i couldn't offer it to her... what could I do? I actually had been thinking about this for some time before... because there were a few times I saw old people or pregnant ladies on the bus/mrt, and because I didn't have a seat, and no one else got up to offer them their seat, those people would just have to stand.

Anyway, I was quite frustrated by this cos I can't believe I can't do anything about it. They should rightfully get a seat instead of the youngster blasting music away on his ipod, or the guy in the tie dozing off in the corner, or the lady reading the papers.

The last time this happened, I decided that the next time, I would do something about it!

So..... Today... After I saw the old lady, I asked her in mandarin if she'd like a seat. She said yes, but there was no seats available. I asked this guy who was sitting down whether he minded giving up his seat to the old woman. He said he didn't mind. (like what else could he say right? He can't possibly say no unless he wanted to sound like a bastard) Anyway, I thought that was really nice of him, he could have said no... or he could have grudgingly done it. He was really nice about it though.

The old lady was really grateful, and thanked both of us, and said "ni men you hao xin". I felt kinda good... even though I wasn't the one who sacrificed my seat. well at least I helped someone to do a good deed.

Seriously, I think sometimes people-in-need (i'm calling them that cos it's easier than saying old people and pregnant ladies) don't get seats cos the train/bus is just too crowded! I mean, I would give up my seat if I actually SAW them... so if I'm can't give up my seat, I figure that it's part of my civic duty to let the other people know that there's someone who needs a seat, and they have the opportunity to do something good!

Spreading good karma around! haha.

Anyway, I chatted a little with the old lady, and found out she was 82, and her husband was 86. And they were on their way to SGH to see the doctor cos she had a persistent cough. She's so nice, and even wished me blessings (is this how you say it?) when we parted.

today is an interesting day... the day I helped someone do a good deed.

the stupidest show i've wasted a free ticket on

deuce bigalow: european gigolo takes the cake, with the icing and the cream too. I can't believe i WASTED a free ticket on it. at least it was free.

the 1st one was not too bad... dirty jokes and all... it wasn't ultra perverted... or sicko... it was actually funny! but this one... it's really sick. not even funny dirty... it's sicko dirty.

no wonder it's M18. and i was wondering why. YUCK. please do not watch it.

A Night of Musicals

well... Last night was my Division's D&D... and wow... was it cool! the theme was "Musicals" so each table could come dressed in various musicals... we had so many! Grease, beauty and the beast, Saturday night fever, Alice in WOnderland, forbidden city (very very nice), and my table theme was Bombay Dreams. we even had austin powers (?? how is that a musical?) and some angels and devils thingy. *shrugs* who knows... haha. my division head was super high that night! he was literally bouncing all over the place! he's super onz... i like him.
